Preliminary Task

This is my preliminary task which is the front cover and contents page of a college magazine that I made on publisher. I used images which I took from around the college.

This is my front cover for my preliminary task. I like the use of the bubble because it breaks up the magazine.
I havent included a skyline in this magazine but I will include one in the final magazine.

This is my contents page, it follows all major conventions. I like having the contents all on the left hand side however the magazine looks very symmetrical but I feel it looks slightly boring, so when I do my final magazine I will mix images with text to make the contents page more visually appealing.
I have used a constant colour scheme throughout the task which I will also do in my main task.
I have over used capital letters which I did for emphasis but it is too much so I will change that when I do my final magazine. also i will change the font because i dont like it.

Sample Masthead

These are screenshots of my sample masthead for the front cover of my final magazine using Photoshop.

I can't decide which side too put the 'rewind symbol' on. I have used a font with italics.

Main Task Flat Plans

this is a flat plan of how my main task will look, it is the front cover of my magazine, it will follow major conventions. The base line and the bubble are optional but i have added them to the front cover as i feel this will attract more buyers.

this is my contents page and this also follows major conventions. i have made the the contents page very symmetrical and i have done it this was because i feel this increases visual appearance of the page.

the is my double page spread and i have again followed major conventions, the strap line explains the pull quote which is used to encourage readers or buyers.
